Catholic Retirement Communities
Many senior citizens would like to be in a retirement community that does not only meet their daily requirements but also their spiritual needs. At this facility you can choose between independent living, assisted living and even rehabilitative care. The independent living quarters located in this area provide senior citizens with elegant decorations and low maintenance housing choice. There are several different floor plans available which include studio apartments, one bedroom apartments and even apartments with as many as three bedrooms. These apartments include three meals per day, twice weekly housekeeping services, cable television and utilities excluding telephone. There are daily activities to participate in, daily Mass and 24-hour security in addition to an emergency call system. Seniors can maintain their independence while feeling safe and secure because there is care available if they need it.
When it comes to style, assisted living apartments and independent apartments are alike. The difference is that the residents receive a higher level of care and assistance. The level of assistance provided is based on each individual's needs and preferences. Assistance can be given with bathing, grooming, dressing, medication administration and more. Each assisted living apartment has an emergency pull cord and nursing is available around the clock. These apartments are ideal for seniors who require a certain level of assistance but also want to maintain as much independence as they can.
Like Catholic retirement communities, the Milwaukee Catholic Home also provides an important aspect in the people's spiritual lives. There is a worship chapel and Roman Catholic Mass every day excluding Wednesday. There are Protestant services once per month, and spiritual classes including Bible study available on a regular basis. One thing you should know about these retirement communities is that they do welcome residents of other faiths besides Catholic.
